WALKING

– You can tell you’re walking briskly if you can still talk but cannot sing the words to a song.
– The easiest way to walk more is to make walking a habit.
– Walking in a group is a great way to start walking, make new friends and stay motivated.
– We encourage dog owners to bring your dog along.

RUNNING

– Running can significantly improve physical and mental health.
– Running is a form of aerobic exercise, running can reduce stress, improve heart health and help alleviate symptoms of depression.
– Some researchers think running may be so good for us because it’s something we evolved to do.
– People are built to run!

CYCLING

– Cycling is a good muscle workout – cycling uses all of the major muscle groups as you pedal.
– Low impact – it causes less strain and injuries than most other forms of exercise.
– Good for strength and stamina – cycling increases stamina, strength and aerobic fitness.
– Mental health conditions such as depression, stress and anxiety can be reduced by regular bike riding.
– Please don’t forget to wear a safety helmet for cycling.

PLAYING

– Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive and emotional strength.
– Play is important to healthy brain development.
– It is through play that children at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them.
